Perfinova is a tool to help you organize and understand your own financial data. It is not a licensed financial, investment, tax, or legal advisor. Nothing in the app constitutes professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making significant financial decisions.

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Perfinova, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

2. Description of the service

Perfinova is a personal finance management application for macOS. It allows you to:

• Import and organize transaction data from CSV and Excel files
• Track accounts, balances, budgets, and financial goals
• View reports and trends based on your imported data
• Use an AI assistant to ask questions about your own financial data

All data is stored locally on your device. Perfinova does not connect to your bank accounts, financial institutions, or any external data sources.

3. Not financial advice

Perfinova is a personal productivity tool. It is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, financial planner, or tax professional. The information and calculations it provides — including budget summaries, savings-rate calculations, net worth estimates, goal projections, and 529 contribution estimates — are:

• Based solely on data you have entered into the app
• Subject to the accuracy and completeness of your imported data
• Estimates based on assumptions (such as assumed rates of return) that may not reflect actual market conditions
• Not a substitute for advice from a qualified financial, tax, or legal professional

You should not make significant financial decisions based solely on information provided by Perfinova. We strongly encourage you to consult a qualified financial advisor for decisions of material consequence.

4. Accuracy of calculations

While we strive to ensure that Perfinova's calculations are accurate, we make no warranty that any projection, estimate, or calculation is free from error. Financial projections depend on assumptions about future conditions (interest rates, market returns, inflation) that are inherently uncertain. Actual results will differ from projections.

5. Your data and responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of data you import into Perfinova. The app's outputs are only as reliable as the data you provide. Perfinova is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or misformatted data.

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data. Perfinova is not liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, accidental deletion, or software issues.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Perfinova and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including financial losses, data loss, or decisions made based on information provided by the app.

Perfinova is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

7. Permitted use

Perfinova is licensed for personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control. You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Resell or sublicense the app

8. Updates and changes

We may update Perfinova and these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
