Privacy Policy

1. What data Perfinova stores

Perfinova stores the following information exclusively on your Mac, inside a local SQLite database:

• Account names, balances, and types that you enter manually
• Transactions imported from CSV or Excel files you provide
• Categories, budgets, goals, and rules you create
• Any notes or descriptions you add to transactions

This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to Perfinova or any third party.

2. What data we do NOT collect

Perfinova does not collect, transmit, or have access to:

• Your financial data, account numbers, or transaction history
• Usage analytics, crash reports, or telemetry
• Device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data
• Your name, email address, or any personal information

3. Touch ID authentication

Perfinova uses Touch ID (via macOS LocalAuthentication) to lock the app when you step away. This authentication happens entirely on your device using Apple's secure enclave. Biometric data is never accessible to Perfinova and is never stored or transmitted.

4. CSV and Excel file imports

When you import a bank statement or transaction export, the file is read locally and its contents are stored in your on-device database. The file itself is not retained after import. No data from your imported files is sent anywhere.

5. iCloud backups (optional)

Some versions of Perfinova offer an optional iCloud backup feature. If you enable this, a copy of your database is saved to your personal iCloud Drive folder using Apple's standard file APIs. This backup is governed by Apple's iCloud privacy policy. Perfinova has no access to your iCloud account or backups.

6. No internet connection required

Perfinova functions fully offline. The app makes no outbound network requests during normal use. A network connection is only used if you explicitly use a feature that requires it (such as loading the in-app guide from the web).

7. Third-party services

Perfinova does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data brokerage services. The app contains no tracking SDKs.

8. Data deletion

Because all data is stored locally on your Mac, you are in complete control. To delete your data, simply delete the Perfinova database file from your Mac, or use the Reset option within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all associated data.

9. Children's privacy

Perfinova does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not collect any personal information from any user.

10. Changes to this policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be noted in the app release notes.
